We strive to support & empower each other, in our journey for food self-sufficiency.

The Brisbane Food Syndicate has been formed, by members of the local communities, to assist in food production, logistics & self-sufficiency.For mutual aid, countering poverty and future food shortages.

MISSION

SAVE TIME & MONEY

The average Australian household spends 20-30k$ on food, saving even a bit means massive empowered to the people. And best part yet, any $ saved is non-taxable.

SELF-SUFFICIENCY

The more we save, the less dependent we are on the system. It's also a proactive way to protect ourselves against the upcoming CBDC, digital ID, etc..

QUALITY

We are what we eat. As agorists, we prefer to move to Australian made organic food when possible, for our health & supporting Australian sovereignty.

VISION

KNOWLEDGEBASE

First and foremost, Self-sufficiency starts with oneself.
By having a knowledgebase, we can help each other learn what's important, and the ability to discuss it with people who actually live in your area.
This includes techniques for food storage, supplier lists, growing food, organizing, etc...

WHOLESALE & LOGISTICS

The lowest hanging fruit (no pun intended) with cooperatives is the ability to organize buying groups. This doesn't only save a truckload of $$$, it reduces the need to go every week to the supermarket, so we can focus on things that are more important to us.
Furthermore it gives us leverage & security against prohibitions and food shortages, which many of us experienced with recent global events of 2020.

PRODUCTION

Ultimately our goals are to be involved in our own productions, be it growing food in our own garden or landshares farms. It is much more efficient to utilize a group to create food exchanges.
Growing food is not easy, especially for beginners, being part of a community group helps with support & advice.

BUTCHERY & HUNTING

The other side of food production, meat.
Our vision includes learning to cut our own meat, renting coldrooms to store wholesale carcasses, last but not least - organizing hunting parties to hunt our own food, as nature intended.
Please note we respect both vegeterians & carnivores, as a decentralized syndicate we don’t force anyone to partake in any activities, that go against their philosophies.

REPLICATE

Finally, we are strictly a non-competitive organization. Unlike corporations that aim for control through mergers, a decentralized syndicate benefits from splitting up into smaller groups (hence “syndicate”).
Everything we do is open source, and we provide the infrastructure & support to start your own groups / projects. We are the first in Brisbane, but with your help we won’t be the last.

PRINCIPLES

We are not a typical organization driven by profit. We are a here to built long-lasting communities, planting seeds for our future generations.

AGORISM

As Agorists, we strive to produce food for self-use, not profit. We understand profit requires regulations, which brings overheads such as taxation. For an essential resource such as food, such dependence goes against our goal for self-sufficiency.

DECENTRALIZED

We strive to decentralize ourselves from dependance on food monopolies (e.g. supermarkets), but also internally through structures that are built around hard work instead of hierarchies & control.

PROACTIVE

More work = more benefits.
However we do this via offsets not profits.
For example, higher % on co-ops, more choices, etc..

GOAL CENTRIC

As a decentralized organization, we follow goals not leaders, solutions not problems.
As such we don't pursue unrelated topics such as politics, religion, etc...

COMMUNITY

Localized groups, we are actual people who meet & talk to each other. We are taking responsibility to create the parallel systems needed to secure our freedoms.

NON-AGGRESSION

We do not condone violence of any kind.
Following the philosophies of Agorism, if our ideas are not strong enough to hold on their own and attract others, they weren’t good to begin with.

JOIN

Being self-sufficient means sweat & hard work, running BFS is no exception. We are at early stages, we require support/advice (in small doses) to push forward. Members can already join our buying groups, and enjoy wholesale discounts. We also offer access to an encrypted NextCloud server, where you can communicate & collaborate. Including access to a Private Produce Exchange board, to take things to the next level.
